# BMPR migration — captured steps

42-second silent demonstration assembled from genuine application captures. This is an annotated sequence, not a continuous screen recording.

**0–6.7s** — Sample project: three pages from a local BMPR test file, shown in Balsamiq 4.8.6.

**6.7–14s** — WireMagic 1.0.2 previews all three pages. Original BMPR unchanged. Free preview; paid conversion for editing.

**14–20.7s** — Convert to an editable WireMagic project and save it. This example uses a Classic license.

**20.7–28s** — Ungroup the imported page. Change the title to “Team directory”, update the subtitle, and save.

**28–36s** — Open the saved file again. Both text changes and all three pages are retained.

**36–42s** — Compare the original with the untouched import. Try the sample and check your own file for differences.

## Provenance and limits

The sample contains three complete pages excerpted from `SymbolsAndOthers.bmpr`; original control DATA bytes were preserved. It is not a customer case study or a claim of original design. Captured with Balsamiq 4.8.6 and released WireMagic 1.0.2.

The source and import exports are untouched. Sidebar icon-label text shows small width truncation differences after import. This example does not establish fidelity for all BMPR files. Preview and inspect your own project before converting.

After ungrouping, the native Title changed from “Team members” to “Team directory”. The native Label changed to “Manage the people in your workspace.” Both changes and all three pages were confirmed after reopening the saved `.wiremagic` file from disk.
