Install and update WireMagic
Download the version for your computer, install it, and open your first project.
Choose your download
Get the installer from Download WireMagic. On Mac, open Apple menu → About This Mac: choose Apple silicon for an Apple M-series chip, or Intel for an Intel processor. On Windows, choose the x64 installer. Check the download page for current system requirements.
Install the app
- macOS: open the DMG, drag WireMagic to Applications, then open it from Applications.
- Windows: run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts.
The app is published by Yibi AI LLC, notarized by Apple on macOS, and Authenticode-signed on Windows. If installation fails, download a fresh copy from the official site and contact support with the exact message.
Create your first project
Open WireMagic, create a project, and add controls to the canvas. Save it as a .wiremagic file on your computer. Local editing on Free Basic does not require an account or a credit card.
Free Basic supports up to 3 pages per project. For an existing Balsamiq file, follow Open and edit BMPR files. To start from a description, see Use AI to draft and revise.
Update an existing installation
To check in the app, choose WireMagic → Check for Updates… on Mac, or Help → Check for Updates… on Windows. If an update is available, follow Download update and then Update and restart. Settings lets you control automatic downloads. Save your work before restarting; if updating fails, use the website installer below.
Save your work and quit WireMagic before installing an update. Keep a backup of important project files. Find the current installer at Download WireMagic and the changes in Release notes.
On Mac 1.0 / 1.0.1, replace the old app with the latest download. Your projects and settings are kept.
Change the app language
The desktop app currently supports English and Simplified Chinese. Change the interface language in Settings. Choosing a language on this website does not change the app language.
